My Love Story
Thank You to everyone for your shout outs and messages of congratulations. I still cannot believe that my dreams came true and on October 14th 2017 I married my best friend.
Paul and I met on Instagram. Yes you read that correctly. Instagram. He didn't slide into my DM's because there was no such thing at the time. We managed to get to know each other and fall in love. He is originally from Jamaica but raised in NYC. I am from Hawaii, so right away we knew we would really have to work hard to make this relationship successful. I truly believe that no one can get in the way of the things God has for us. The distance between us didn't hurt our relationship at all. It was a God thing that no weapon formed against could prosper.
Which brings me to January 13th 2017. One of my best friends told me that she would be taking me out to dinner for my 30th birthday. Later that day, she let me know that we would have to push back our dinner date. That worked out perfectly for me because I had my little brother's homecoming basketball game. After the game, I quickly rushed off to meet my friend for our dinner. We then left her house and head to downtown Wakiki. She tells me to pull up to the Hale Koa Hotel because she had to make a stop there. She owns her own business and they often work with hotels so it was not at all suspicious that we stopped there.
I am sitting there in the car alone and I started to check my lipstick. As I am leaning forward to look in the mirror, I see someone walking towards me. My eyes got big, my heart started pounding like a timpani. There was the love of my life walking towards the car. He lives in New York and I live in Hawaii. The first words out of my mouth were, "What are you doing here?' He said, "Surprise!! Happy Birthday!!" I am so touched and surprised. I thought my best friend got me my boyfriend for my birthday. Haha! Little did I know, The surprise of my life was on the way.

Awe! I absolutely love watching that video. I can watch it over and over again. It was the day I realized my "Happily Ever After" was in arms length. He was finally my fiance. I was overjoyed and I couldn't wait to start planning our wedding.
